Jackie Owen--My love for the BEAUTY BUSINESS brought me to NEW YORK CITY when I was 19. While putting myself through school I became a MAKE-UP artist and stylist for many well known photographers with a celebrity clientele. I opened my own business when I was 22, a very successful salon and spa with 35 employees, and continued being the photographers hair stylist and make up artist until I picked up the camera myself and began a career in SEPIA/black and white photography. I have to say all my ART came together with the combination of make up, hair, styling and PHOTOGRAPHY. Whether PHOTOGRAPHING MODELS, CATALOGS, or BRIDES, or making a CINEMATIC MOVIE of a WEDDING or EVENT, I can bring out the most artistic and visual experience you can imagine. Weddings in particular are one of the most significant experiences of one's lifetime. I love to capture ALL the fun and emotion. With my fantastic staff we can create a wonderful visual legacy that will last many generations.
